Dyson R1 and R3 Nurovi vs Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow
Last checked 2026-10-06.
Per the makers' US pages: the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry is a vacuum-only robot rated at 21,000 Pa with up to 120 min run time and a dock for up to 90 days of debris; the Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV adds a roller mop with 12 hydration points, 158 °F water and a UV stain scanner, rated at 30,000 Pa and up to 200 min; the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow has a roller mop with 8 hydration points, 75 °C mop washing and 20,000 Pa. No independent test of either Dyson existed on 2026-10-06, so none of these figures is a measurement.

Sizes and weights are as each maker states them; figures marked converted are converted from the maker's units. No prices are shown.
What differs, per the makers
- Mopping: the R1 does not mop. The R3 and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow both use a roller mop that is washed as it turns: 12 hydration points on the R3, 8 on the Qrevo. Wash water: 158 °F (70 °C) on the R3, 75 °C (167 °F) on the Qrevo. Both dry the roller with air at 131 °F (55 °C).
- Stains: only the R3 has a UV stain scanner. Dyson says it identifies almost 200 spills, stains and objects and makes up to 15 passes on a stain. Roborock states obstacle recognition of 200+ types, not stain detection.
- Emptying: Dyson's docks separate debris with cyclones (8 in the R1 dock, 10 in the R3 dock) into a bin; Dyson claims up to 90 days (R1) and 100 days (R3). Roborock claims up to 65 days for the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow.
- Size: the R1 is the lowest robot at 3.8 in (about 97 mm). The R3 is 4.3 in (about 109 mm) and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow 119 mm. The R1 dock is the narrowest at 9.6 × 9.6 in; the R3 dock is the largest at 20.1 × 17.4 in and weighs 19.8 kg, per Dyson.
- Not stated: Roborock's page gives no run time, weight or threshold height for the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow; Dyson's R3 page read gives no threshold height.

Independent tests
None found. On 2026-10-06 no published, measured test of any Nurovi model was found: no lab suction, pick-up, mopping or navigation results. What was checked:
- Vacuum Wars, "We Spoke With Dyson About Its All-New 2026 Robot Lineup": reports Dyson's claims and says it has not tested the robots yet.
- Gizmodo, 2026-09-18 launch article: Dyson's announced specifications; no measurements.
- RTINGS, Dyson vacuum page: no Nurovi model in the part of the page readable without an account.
Every Nurovi figure on this page is therefore Dyson's own claim.
Kinds of claim on this page: every figure is the maker's own statement, a manufacturer claim, and the column says whose. Anything the maker page does not state is unknown and shown as not stated. Recall check: the CPSC recall database on 2026-10-06 (saferproducts.gov recall API: product name 'dyson', recall title 'dyson' and product name 'robot vacuum'); the only Dyson recall is a 2014 recall of portable heaters, not a vacuum; no robot vacuum recall was returned. That is not proof of safety. Maker pages read 2026-10-06; Amazon US offers read 2026-10-06 (about 12:40 UTC, at a US delivery address; the R1 buy box re-read at 14:27 UTC by the affiliate architect, applianceevidence#81).
Left out, and why
- Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry: launched in the US at Costco only (Vacuum Wars); no Dyson US product page or Amazon US listing was read
- Dyson 360 Vis Nav and Spot+Scrub Ai: Dyson's earlier robots, not the Nurovi range
Nothing here was tested. The suction figures are not comparable with each other: Dyson gives the R1 figure for its Powerful mode, and the Dyson pages read do not clearly tie either Nurovi figure to a named test standard; Roborock gives its figure from its own test to IEC 62885-2 in Max+ mode. A higher pascal figure is not proof of better pick-up.
